Photographs of the Royal Navy Lynx Final Flight to RNAS Yeovilton

On Friday, March 10, the last deployed Lynx returned home from a nine month deployment with HMS Portland and I was lucky enough to capture the magi moment when the lone cab from HMS Portland touched down outside it's parent squadron.
Nearly 40 years ago I joined the navy as a 16 year old boy and my first posting was to the newly formed 702 Naval Air Squadron.
So unbeknown to the gathered families, squadron crew and press it was an emotional day for me too.
Below are a few postcards from a wonderful morning spent with true famous Somerset sons of the skies.

Four Lynx MK8 helicopters will travel around the South West on two separate journeys, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
